Playoff Race Heats Up

<p>The playoff picture is coming into focus, but nothing is settled yet. The Mooseheads have clinched first place and home-ice advantage throughout, while the Harbour Wolves have locked up a top-two seed. After that, it gets interesting. The Citadel Knights, North End Bruins, Dartmouth Destroyers, and Bedford Blizzard are separated by just three points in the battle for the final two playoff spots.</p>

<p>The Citadel Knights currently hold third place but have a brutal remaining schedule that includes games against the Mooseheads and Harbour Wolves. The North End Bruins are just one point back in fourth and have momentum on their side after winning four of their last five. The Dartmouth Destroyers are clinging to life in fifth, needing wins in both of their remaining games to have any chance. Even the Bedford Blizzard, sitting two points out of a playoff spot, still have a mathematical shot.</p>

<p>The Sackville Storm and Cole Harbour Comets have been eliminated from contention but are playing spoiler, and neither team will make it easy for the contenders. Last week, the Storm shocked the Citadel Knights with a 3-1 upset, throwing the playoff race into further chaos.
